The Sisterhood Project is all about empowering women through creativity, building social connections, and fostering confidence and self-expression. Our free workshops, supported by Leicestershire County Council and the NHS, offer a safe and welcoming space to explore visual arts, movement, mindfulness, nature connection, and storytelling. These workshops were held at Shepshed Volunteer Center in Loughborough and this project was organised by Buzzing Roots CIC. https://www.buzzingroots.co.uk/

During these workshops, we explored a range of creative modalities such as visual arts, explorative movement, mindfulness and breathing techniques, nature connection, and storytelling.

Outcomes for the Sisterhood Workshops (Women Participating)

o             Increased community engagement, reducing feelings of isolation and vulnerability.

o             Enhanced mental resilience through guided support groups, mindfulness techniques, and conflict resolution education.

o             Increased self-awareness and self-worth, leading to more confident decision-making and self-empowerment.

o             Established networks of support within the community, facilitating long-term well-being and resilience.
