Medicine Festival August 2024

Medicine Festival is a conscious festival that aims to build community connections. It is a multicultural event that shares holistic well-being practices from all over the world. It is based at Wasing Park in the United Kingdom.

My role whilst working at this festival was the assistant manager for the family space, this was a paid position. My role included setting up the space and communicating with the workshop facilitators to make sure they had everything they needed for their workshop to flow. It was my responsibility to support the family space manager by ensuring each day ran smoothly and there were not any incidents. I looked out for the children’s welfare within the space and played lots of games and activities.

I facilitated a workshop called Clay Tree Spirits, This encouraged their children to delve into their imaginations through creativity and storytelling. We foraged for natural materials and went exploring within the woodland to find the Clay tree spirit hiding in the woods.
